We’re all about supporting local – and so are Toby Mitchell and Paola Ulloa, the owners of Freska Cafe & Eatery located in the heart of downtown Carleton Place!
Freska supports all things local – local food, local beer, and local community. Since they took over the restaurant in 2019, they have been serving up tasty breakfast classics that are creative, healthy and delicious.
Toby is originally a valley boy. He spent many years travelling the world and living in the Caribbean where he met Paola. The pair have been in the restaurant and bartending industry for many years and bring tons of experience with them to Freska.
Paola is the chef and is passionate about the many new menu items they offer. She also makes some amazing cakes and deserts including the ever popular Alfajores (shortbread with dulce de leche filling.
As Toby says, “all roads lead back home” and they are both very excited to be starting the next chapter of their lives in Carleton Place.
